  2. I have been wondering all the time why she has these big creepy eyes. I am not kidding, they really are kind of ‘scary’. What is the meaning behind them? They remind me of the “Rinnegan” a little bit, of course only because of the looks. Are they supposed to support my disgust against this fictional character?

    • Not really, this is just a body charasterical.
As I should have said earlier, I have the same kind of eyes (blue/green with heavy bags), and I’m not Superman, that’s for sure. And I’m not Batman, or Spiderman, or Aquaman, or a merman, or a wolfman. I’m not a brahman, or common, or ramen. I’m not a caiman either, so you really don’t need to worry about anything.

It may be pretty rare, but it’s a real thing. But Indeed, some people told me my eyes were “creepy” or “weird” because I glared at them. But whatever, it’s pretty usefull if you don’t want people search the nuts with yah.

I think Tomoko is anemic, I mean, look at the weak constitution she has. This may be why her eyes are a bit darker than average.

      • Well, assuming you are telling the truth (you know it is the internet), I think I did put my’s foot in your’s mouth …
The problem about the character are the REALLY BIG eyes, compared to most other characters . So, even if something like this can exist to a CERTAIN degree, it is a sure thing for me, the author overdramatized her – for me still creepy appearance – that way, specially when she is trying to laugh …

It’s actualy a bit darker in reality, my camera realy catch too much light.
So now you should assume heavy bags is no fiction.

Dude, don’t forget it’s a manga, characters are supposed to be japanese but they looks like very flashy european. Tanigawa is the most respectful autor I know ’bout japanese characteristics, though, just after Tanigushi.

But indeed, Tomoko eyes is draw differently. Her eyes seems somewhat raw. I think this is symbolic, maybe saying she’s… uncompleted or something.

At the end, when she’ll grow up into a beautifull woman, her eyes may turn out to be “completed”, meaning she finally managed to overpass this late teenager state, and get along with society.

Assuming the manga will have a happy end.
